Welcome to TodaGo ("we," "our," or "us"). TodaGo is a ride-hailing service operating in Mati City, Davao Oriental, Philippines. We provide mobile applications for passengers and drivers to connect for tricycle transportation services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the TodaGo passenger app, the TodaGo driver app, or our related web services (collectively, the "Services").

- Notes you add for the driver when booking a ride (for example, when booking for a family member or child).
2.2 Phone Number and Verification
- We collect your mobile phone number when you register for an account.
- We use your phone number to send one-time verification codes (OTP) to confirm your identity and secure your account.
- We do not use your phone number for unrelated marketing without your consent.
2.3 Discount Eligibility Verification
- If you apply for a Student, Person with Disability (PWD), or Senior Citizen fare discount, we may ask you to submit a government-issued ID or supporting document to verify your eligibility.
- These documents are collected only for the purpose of verifying discount eligibility and processing approved fare reductions.
- We do not use discount verification documents for any unrelated purpose.
2.4 Driver Information
- Account and profile information provided during driver registration.
- Phone number for account verification and communication related to rides.
- Information required to operate as a TodaGo driver partner, such as vehicle and licensing details where applicable.
2.5 Location and GPS Data
- We collect precise location (GPS) data from your device when you use the Services during an active ride.
- For passengers: location data helps show your pickup point and allows you to track your assigned driver in real time.
- For drivers: location data helps show your position to the passenger and navigate to the pickup and destination.
- Location data is used to facilitate ride matching, navigation, safety, and trip completion.
2.6 Device and Technical Information
- Basic device information such as device type, operating system, and app version.
- Technical logs that help us diagnose errors, improve app performance, and maintain security.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your TodaGo account.
- To verify your phone number and secure access to the Services.
- To match passengers with available drivers and complete ride requests.
- To display real-time location so passengers and drivers can see each other during an active trip.
- To calculate fares and process discount eligibility where applicable.
- To allow passengers to add ride notes for drivers, including when booking rides for family members.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To improve the safety, reliability, and performance of our Services.
- To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
4. Location Data
Location data is essential to how TodaGo works. We use GPS and location services solely to provide ride-hailing functionality.
During an active ride, passengers can see where their driver is, and drivers can see the passenger pickup location. This mutual visibility helps ensure safe and efficient pickups.
We do not sell your location data to third parties. We do not use your location for unrelated advertising purposes.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. Please note that disabling location access may prevent you from using core features of the app, including booking and tracking rides.
5. Discount Verification
TodaGo offers fare discounts for eligible passengers such as students, persons with disabilities (PWD), and senior citizens. To verify eligibility, we may request supporting identification.
Identification documents submitted for discount verification are used only to confirm that you qualify for the requested discount category. We store this information securely and retain it only as long as needed for verification, record-keeping, and legal compliance.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Between passengers and drivers as needed to complete a ride (for example, name, pickup location, and ride notes).
- With service providers who help us operate the Services (such as cloud hosting, maps, and authentication services), under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of TodaGo, our users, and the public.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and comply with legal obligations.

A registered adult user may book a ride on behalf of a family member, such as a child traveling to or from school. In such cases, the adult account holder is responsible for the booking and any notes provided to the driver.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" and "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
